Named after a Village in County  Galway where Richard Joyce designed the ring for his love while in captivity in Algeria, Aferica in the 17th centry. When he returned, there she was by the banks of Galway Bay waiting , with a bunch of daisies. When he gave her the Ring, she said," Oh tis really is beautiful, I will stay with you because no one ever gave me a ring like this before" They lived happly ever after and up to this day there are Joyce's all over the place ever since.
